Welcome to my new space! I would tell you to make yourself at home but there’s not much here yet.

I have been contemplating this move longer that should be necessary (can you say procrastinator). I loved Current Observations (my former blog) and I grew as a designer in the time that I kept it. However the time felt right to focus my blogging a little more around my work and sharing with the design community.

While it’s been sad to say goodbye to Current Observations, this space feels so right and has already provided clarity for the direction I want to head with my digital space.

The last thing I am yet to give up is my business website – Crimson Pear. I didn’t want to blog over there as my ultimate goal is to bring everything to this domain. I just can’t let that go but I’m sure I will know when the time is right.

So my best laid plan is to blog at least once a week predominately about:

0.1 Design – I work as a user experience designer, I am graphic designer, a surface pattern designer and web designer and developer. My interests are even more varied than my skills. I envision this blog will reflect that variety.

0.2 Process – I started my working life as a teacher and that yearning to empower others never really leaves you. I hope to periodically share a technique, post a tutorial or talk a little about my process.
